1. Information you provide
Splice may receive your account email and email-verification time, business name, password credential, business profile details, pricing defaults, service settings, quote inputs, customer and job details, owner-entered invoice payment status, and support messages. You choose what to enter into optional business and quote fields.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate your account, calculate quotes, create and deliver requested PDFs, save Pro account tools and quote history, support secure customer quote review and Accept / Decline, create invoices from accepted quotes, maintain customer/document history, record owner-entered invoice payment status, manage subscriptions, protect the service from abuse, and investigate errors or security incidents.
Password recovery uses a time-limited, single-use link. Operational messages are limited to service and billing events. We do not use your quote data to provide unrelated CRM, scheduling, dispatch, or marketing features.
3. Providers and sharing
Splice uses infrastructure and providers needed to operate the service, including Cloudflare for hosting and storage, Stripe for Splice Pro checkout and subscription management, and email delivery services for messages you request or service alerts. These providers receive only the information needed for their role.
Splice has not launched commercially. A New Mexico limited liability company is intended to be its initial legal operator, conditional on state formation approval and owner authorization. The company is not yet the operator of Splice.
Splice does not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business transfer handled under applicable law.
4. Payments
Stripe hosts checkout for Splice Pro subscriptions and processes that subscription payment-card information. Splice receives the account and subscription identifiers and status needed to provide or remove Pro access, open billing management, and clean up an account. Splice does not currently process customer invoice payments. Any Paid / Unpaid invoice status is entered by the owner and is not verified by Splice. Do not send payment-card numbers to Splice support.
5. Cookies and local storage
Splice uses secure session cookies for account access. A browser-local session token may be supported during a compatibility transition, and the browser may keep an unsaved quote preview so you can continue a calculation. You can clear browser storage, but doing so can remove that local preview.
6. Retention and deletion
We record whether an eligible account has used its one introductory trial, its start and expiration times, and limited product milestones such as the first Pro quote and first paid renewal. Email verification uses a time-limited token whose hash is removed after successful confirmation. These records support trial access, abuse controls, and basic product measurement; they do not create a charge or automatically delete an account. Account deletion removes trial records and linked milestones. To limit repeated trials after account recreation, we keep a keyed digest of the account email, without the raw email or customer records, separately from the account. It expires 180 days after trial activation and is removed by routine daily cleanup. This limited check does not guarantee one trial per person. We retain account, quote, PDF, billing, security, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, protect it, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Subscription consent records include the selected plan, the renewal disclosure shown, and the acceptance time. Annual renewal notice records include the scheduled renewal date and email delivery status. You can request account deletion from the Account Settings. Deletion is designed to remove account data and generated PDFs, cancel the linked subscription, and prevent delayed billing updates from recreating a deleted account. Newly issued account-linked PDF access records are removed during deletion. Some access metadata issued before this cleanup was introduced may remain in temporary storage until its expiry (no more than seven days); access is blocked once deletion begins.
7. Your choices and contact
You can update profile information, manage a subscription through Stripe's billing portal, and request account deletion from Account Settings. For privacy questions or a request about your information, email support@splicequotes.com.
